The week started in class, where we were given exercises to form the essential characteristics of our future design. We prepared for our first "speed mentoring" with industry experts.

We were asked to think about our future design:
The time, place and the state of mind of the user - Alone, when you have a spare moment, everywhere, the user is active and open minded
Who are the stakeholders, he persons who will be involved and impacted by our product's outcome - the user, media platform, journalists, web developers and 3rd party services (servers, cloud, etc.).
The value tension that might come up from the use of the product, and might challenge us as the creators of it - the user's choice against our objective of the product to expose and give reports that not always stands with the user's preferences; objectivity against the personal bias of the product creators.
Afterward, we had to reverse engineer our concept by simulating a museum as a guideline and used metaphors to define our challenges and needs. The connecting dots between our idea and a museum were -guiding through the user, organizing according to specific categories, esthetic and minimalistic. The metaphors we used were investigation room, a drone/bird point of view and a thermometer.
To understand the future product flow, we drew a table with the main steps the user will go through. The flow starts as the users open the app, going through the short objective report briefs and explores other opinions and points of view.
Preparing for our speed mentoring, we created a presentation that shortly concludes our journey thus far, including details about the user, the need and our initial thoughts of the solution.
